Crowne Plaza Hotel – Allentown, PA
(Conversion from a Clarion Hotel)

Hotel Details
    9 floors, 225 guestrooms, 12 000 SF of meeting space, indoor pool & fitness center, restaurant and bar. Constructed as a Hilton Hotel.

Guestroom Scheme (New Materials)
    Seating: Custom designed with custom fabric lounge chairs, ottomans, sofas, armed side chair and executive leather task chairs. Upholstered luggage benches at club floor.

    Case goods: Custom executive desks, side tables and coffee tables with crema marfil marble inset.

    Lighting: Executive desk lamps with fax/modem data port and grounded convenience outlets, king nightstand lamps, double nightstand lamps and floor lamps.

    Artwork/Mirror: Framed bath vanity mirrors, framed artwork at king headboards and double headboards (4 designs), guest bath artwork (custom) at club floor.

    Bedding/Drapery: Custom bedding collection with duvets/coverlets, bed skirts and pillows by Kojo Worldwide, Custom cornice and drapery (French pleat), blackout, sheer, Fabric hook-less shower curtains.

    Finishes: Wall covering in guestroom, w/c in guest bath, paint at ceiling and paint at trim by Benjamin Moore, carpet pad, carpet base and carpet by Durkan, mahogany wood trim at window sill.

    Bathroom FFE: Custom granite (gold coast) vanity top, side, backsplash and china bowl, faucets by Moen, tub faucets, drains and shower heads, luxury crescent (curved) shower rods, hairdryers.

    Miscellaneous: Sony Dream Machine CD Players, Leather guest directories, guestroom telephones, mahogany collection of men's and women's hangers, irons and iron boards, coffee makers with coffee by Wolfgang Puck, Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities at club floor.

    *Armoires, nightstands, headboards existing per pip/waivers.
    *Mattress, box spring and stand existing per pip/waivers.
    *Full length guestroom mirrors and mirrors over executive desk existing per pip/waivers.
    * Towel bars, robe hooks, tissue holders, soap dishes, bathroom tile, tile base and threshold existing per pip/waivers.

Commercial Scheme
    Custom lobby seating by Design Originals with custom fabric from Kojo:
    • Seating Group/Style 1 (Sleek/Streamlined): Large 9 ft. sofa, Medium 6 ft. sofa, 2 sofa lounge chairs.
    • Seating Group/Style 2 (Teardrop): 2 Large 8 ft. teardrop sofas and 4 teardrop sofa lounge chairs.
    Custom fabric inserts by Design Originals at consoles outside of meeting rooms.

    Ballroom/Meeting Room upholstered chairs.

    Mahogany coffee and side tables in lobby.

    Custom restaurant arm chairs (mahogany) and bar arm chairs.

    Restaurant banquette seating re-upholstered. Bar stools re-upholstered

    Lighting: Large bowl chandelier (satin white acrylic pendant with satin brass, gold trim, metallic gold rope & tassel) and 2 medium bowl chandeliers by Boyd Lighting.

    Monorail Track and Cube Murano Glass Pendants lighting at front desk.
    Eight bowl chandeliers in ballroom (white opal glass bowls with canopy top). Sconces in pre-function.
    Crystal chandeliers in restaurant.
    Recessed can lighting throughout.
    All exterior and vestibule broadway style lights removed and replaced with recessed cans.

    Table and floor lamps in lobby.

    Wall covering by RJF International (1) at front desk, wall covering (2) throughout lobby. Wall covering (3) meeting rooms, wall covering (4) ballroom, wall covering (5) public restrooms, wall covering (6) restaurant, wall covering (7) guestroom corridors, wall covering (8) at fitness center.

    All surfaces replaced or refinished to like new condition.

    Architectural modifications: front desk ceiling soffitt/laminate removed – drywall and new lighting installed, large installed planters removed outside of meeting rooms – drywall and w/c installed, walls moved in public restrooms per ada standards, front desk removed and replaced with a solid mahogany desk fixture, pay phones installed on brick removed – brick resurfaced with drywall and wall covering. Asphalt driveway removed – decorative brick pavers installed.

    Floor to ceiling mirrors installed in fitness center.

    Decorative accessories: floral displays, small statues/ornaments, individual hand soap dispensers in public restrooms, custom Crowne Plaza leather check-in pads.

    Marble flooring in lobby with custom CYP area rug.

    Custom CYP design for ballroom and pre-function.
    Custom CYP design for meeting rooms.
    Custom CYP design for guest corridors.

    Stone Tile in public restrooms.

    Lobby handrails of mahogany and steel at lobby corridor and at side lobby entrance.

    Granite vanity top, side and backsplash at men's & women's restrooms and locker rooms.

    Restroom partitions and urinal partitions by Knickerbocker for men's & women's restrooms and locker rooms in fitness/pool.
    Interior directional signage and guestroom number signage by Scott Sign Systems.

    Elevator landing console table with framed mirror by Thomasville – Bogart Collection.

    Drapery at each elevator landing by Kojo Worldwide.
    Drapery treatment on interior window from lobby to sundry shop.
    Custom fabric/ drapery treatment throughout walls of ballroom for decor purposes.
    Custom fabric drapery treatments in throughout seating of restaurant and interior door entrances for bar and restaurant for decor purposes.
    Drapery treatments at restaurant windows, bar windows and hallway to ballroom windows.

Exterior
  • Entrance doors removed – sliding automatic doors installed.
  • Brick pavers installed in hotel driveway.
  • Porte cochere structure refinished, new lighting installed, decorative EIFS work on columns. Crowne Plaza Directional signage.
  • Crowne Plaza signage on building. Decorative EIFS work throughout front exterior of building at street level. Crowne Plaza fabric awning installed at bar/restaurant entrance.
  • Landscaping, planters, spot lighting.
